I use Acetaminophen. Acetaminophen (Tylenol, others) can relieve pain, but doesn't reduce inflammation. It has been shown to be effective for people with osteoarthritis who have mild to moderate pain. Taking more than the recommended dosage of acetaminophen can cause liver damage.

Re: Osteoarthritis drug may work too well, causing patients to overuse joints

Hello,I would like more information on Trocoxil. People making DePuy compensation claims will notice that they experience inflammation around the hip area as the sub-microscopic particles released by the friction enter the bloodstream. These particles are known to cause infections, and the wearing away of the hip joint can lead to discomfort and the potential for the hip to fracture around the implant.

Re: Dr. House mystery points to defective artificial hip

The scientific basis of the systemic side-efects sometimes observed in susceptible persons following a metal implant is described at
www.melisa.org
For those who suspect the connection between systemic worsening of health and body's immune reaction to implant material, a blood test-MELISA can be useful. Example today one of my Dr's sent me to the ER fearing that I may of had a blood clot in my leg due to the edema (swelling), pain, and some other things. I'm lucky it came out negative but positive for cellulitis and infection inside the vascular area. This is on the side where I have been believing that my hip has been failing for over a year. The pain is so bad I have to take many different pain medications w/o any relief of the extream pain which is called brake through pain, I'm so tired of this, I keep on telling my HMO I want this hip replaced asap, this is like trying to tell a rock to fly (lol). Im geting no where with this. I have contacted a legal firm for assistance but they won't do anything until they know the type of implant I have. Hey, if I was rich, or a CEO again this would be taken care of, but I have been protecting our home front for years as a Paramedic, and dedicated my life to the preservation of the lives of others, safety, and education of emergency situations. But, I can't continue doing this being disabled to the point that it interfears with my life. So, if I can be of assistance please contact me or if you can assist me please do so, I don't normally ask for help but I'm doing so now. I this is not addresed soon I may think of othe ways to take care of the problem. Thank you.

Re: Top 10 complications of hip replacement surgery

a DePuy ASR hip recall was issued for about 93,000 defective implants after information confirmed that the gizmo has an unreasonably high rate of hip failure, often requiring individuals to undergo a second surgical procedure to revise the original hip replacement.

Re: Man sues Depuy for faulty hip replacement device

really is it working successfully...
